Acceptable Use Policy

Effective 26 August 2026

Hosting only works if people do not use it to make a mess. This policy sits under the Terms. Break it and we can slow, suspend or terminate the account.

You may not use AuHost to

  • Send spam, bought mailing lists, or unsolicited bulk email. One complaint can be a warning. A pattern is the end of the account.
  • Run phishing, carding, malware, botnets, scanners, or brute-force attacks.
  • Host child sexual abuse material, or content that exploits children. Immediate termination and a report to the authorities.
  • Host content that is clearly illegal in Australia or Indonesia — including fraud, stolen data, or prohibited weapons offences.
  • Store or publish other people’s personal information without a lawful basis (doxxing, leak sites).
  • Infringe copyright or trade marks as a business model (pirate streams, warez, fake shops using someone else’s brand).
  • Mine crypto, run open proxies, or turn a shared plan into a load-test lab for someone else’s network.
  • Interfere with other customers on the same hardware — noisy neighbours get asked to upgrade or leave.

Resource use

Shared plans are for websites and ordinary email. If your site is flattening the node, we will contact you. If you ignore that, we will act.

Adult content

Lawful adult content is not banned by default, but it must be legal, age-gated where required, and not used as cover for spam or scams. We can still refuse a particular site if it creates legal or network risk we are not set up to carry.

Reporting abuse

Found a site on our network that looks like a scam, phish or copyright issue? Email abuse@auhost.site with the URL, a short description, and any evidence. We will look at it.
